To see us into the New Year we have an exclusive Dready Roots mix for you by the fascinating and unique Dread Ash Walker.
Ash Walker built a reputation as a fiercely underground DJ with his deep selections of soul, jazz, reggae, latin hitters and complimentary roots & culture selections, livening up parties worldwide with a heavyweight astral shower of rhythm and vibes.
This deep myriad of inspiration can be heard in Ash’s own production output with his first two albums, Augmented 7th (2015) & Echo Chamber (2016). Both were released to critical acclaim across the independent scene, accumulating millions of plays and gaining serious attention from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Don Letts, Mary-Anne Hobbs, Clash Magazine, FACT & XLR8R to name just a few.
The success of these releases attracted the world renowned Late Night Tales signing Ash to their sister label Night Time Stories for his highly anticipated third album which landed in summer of 2019. Ash now becomes part of an internationally respected heavyweight roster including Khruangbin, Sasha, Ron Trent and Liefur James. His fourth album is set for release in Spring 2023 and features Amp Fiddler, Lou Rhodes, Joe Armon-Jones, Oscar Jerome, Yazz Ahmed, Grammy award winning Sly5thAve and many others.
While Ash continues to thrive on the recording side, he has developed his unique sound into ‘The Ash Walker Experience’ a formidable 5 piece line up that has already graced the stages of some of the biggest UK & European festivals as well as prestigious venues such as 'Sold-out' shows at The Jazz Cafe and Electric Brixton. Featuring Laville on vocals, Kwame Ambrose on drums, Hari-Lee Evans on bass, Nicola Guida on keys, Kei Kei on sax & Ash at the controls on the MPC & Space Station.
Ash is also the co-founding member of Shakedown
Shakedown is Reggae Sound system playing all vinyl, and with a majority female line up run by Gin (Turner prize nominated - Black Obsidian Sound System) and Ash Walker

He began producing Jungle in 2020, quickly catching the attention of Jungle legend - Congo Natty, who has been giving him guidance since.

We are pleased to announce our official partnership agreement with Rémy Walter founder of Paris Skate Culture and Jamaica Skate Culture Foundation
Jamaica Skate Culture Foundation aims to develop Action sports, SK8, BMX & SURF and to build more skateparks in JA.
They are already active in Boston Bay, Bull Bay and Kingston town and are committed to work on a national and international level to expand the growth of skateboarding and all action sports in Jamaica, to make it accessible to all.
Dready has agreed to help Jamaica Skate Culture Foundation by contributing a percentage of profits made which will help build more skateparks and skate schools in Jamaica, to discover and encourage new talents and allowing the youth to be a part of the International family of the riding community

Inspired by his father (a master craftsman with 30 year’s experience in Hatton Garden), Johnny Hoxton became obsessed with the aesthetics of both street culture and luxury product. He has made jewellery for the likes of Goldie, Cara Delevigne, Nike, Sweet Toof and Ben Eine amongst others.
